Even though many people prefer modern rifles, this WE Tech M16A3 GBBR satisfies airsoft fans who want period-accurate airsoft copies. This gun is identical to the real M16A3 in every aspect except for the plastic orange tip and markings. Its a full-sized copy of an older firearm.
At 19 inches, the barrel length of this airsoft rifle is equal to that of the M16. Therefore, its considered much more accurate than the popular M4 carbines used today. The handguard is made of polymer and has no Picatinny rails whatsoever.
The front iron sight is attached to the barrel and is fixed. Under it are a sling point and bayonet lug. The latter accessory will accept bayonets made for the M16.
As for the rear sight, its located within the carrying handle. Unlike the older M16s, this carrying handle can be removed, though the rear sight block stays attached to the receiver. There are no top rails either.
However, users can purchase scope mounts that sit on top of the carrying handle. These will provide a top Picatinny rail for any optics you prefer.
The receiver is made of aluminum and highly resembles the actual firearm. The moving parts are all accurate and function like the real thing. This airsoft rifle will immediately feel familiar if you know how to operate an AR-15.
The safety catch has safe, semi-auto, and full-auto firing modes, just like a real M16.
You get a standard pistol grip with checkering and finger rest. Its ergonomic but not to the extent of many modern products.
Attached to the rear is a full-size fixed plastic stock all older M16s have. This stock doesnt fold, and the rear sling point is attached to the end. It has a rubber buttpad too.
The package doesnt include a spring, but you get a barrel tool, speedloader, and an instruction manual.
