While officially known as the Beretta 92FS, the U.S. Armed Forces designates this pistol as the M9. Therefore, many fans refer to the gun by its American name despite some marked differences between the Beretta 92FS and M9. This WE-Tech M9 copy is in many respects similar to the firearm.
With an all-metal build, its as close to the real weapon as you can get. The difference is in material choice, as this replica is made of aluminum.
The slide contains standard M9 iron sights. These non-adjustable examples are familiar to every U.S. soldier. It also has rear cocking serrations that help since most of the slide exposes the barrel.
The safety catch is on the slide, and it has two modes, Fire and Safe. When flipped down, the weapon is ready to fire immediately.
Under the slide is a functional slide release, which is also used to field-strip the gun.
The pistol grip has two black rubber panels, one on each side. The panels have checkering and molding to fit the thumb, though the Beretta logo is missing.
There are no Picatinny rails on this weapon, as it is not a tactical model.
