Airsoft enthusiasts differ in what they like in a weapon, including mounting systems. While the tried-and-true Picatinny rails remain popular, others like newer systems. Lancer Tacticals 10 M-LOK M4 AEG is a great entry point to the world of M-LOK rails.
Other than the top handguard Picatinny rail, the others are M-LOK attachment points. These rails offer angles not possible with a typical quad-rail handguard. You can also attach backup sights diagonally, which is a feature that some find handy in a pinch.
The iron sights are mounted on the almost seamless top Picatinny rails, and you can either fold them down or remove them for optics packages. Even so, they dont interfere with optic usage at all.
The magazine isnt your typical M4 STANAG design, as it has increased ergonomics and a Ranger Plate similar to the Magpul design for easy retrieval. Notably, Magpul is the company behind the M-LOK system.
