All airsoft magazines are created equal, unless youre talking about a King Arms 100rd Mid-Cap Magazine for a P90 Series airsoft rifle. Most AEGs come with a compatible magazine in the box, but there are plenty of reasons why you may want to switch it out for a custom one, and plenty more reasons to have extras on hand.
Like other mid-cap magazine types, no winding is required to load ammo into the magazine. Instead, youll need a speed loader and ample BBs to load into each magazine. The King Arms magazine capacity is 100 rounds. It has nearly double the ammo capacity at almost half the price of competitor magazine manufacturers.
Another factor to think about is realism.
Unlike high-capacity magazines with that distinctive BB rattle, mid-caps are quiet and stealthy like real magazines. They dont jolt around like a baby rattle when youre running across a field. You also dont have to contend with the constant winding that high-capacity magazines require.
And lets not forget how unrealistic 300 rounds are for one magazine.
Nothing says immersion-breaker faster than not having to reload a rifle, even an airsoft one, for half of a game or during training.
Ideally, youll preload your extra mid-caps before setting foot on the field and hide them away in the extra pockets of your tactical vest. Unfortunately, if youre one of those players that like to bring their speed loader with them into a game, itll rattle around just like a high-capacity magazine. So, if you know that youre going to be in stealthy tactical situations, do yourself a favor and buy and pre-fill those mid-caps.
