Many 1911 pistol owners have found the Crosman MK45 air pistol an excellent substitute for training. While it doesnt mimic the firearm entirely, shooting .177 caliber BBs is much cheaper than buying .45 ACP. This air gun even costs a fraction of what a 1911 sells for.
The whole weapon resembles the original Colt design but has been modernized. The slide contains classic-style iron sights, which are simple and effective.
As with some of Crosmans other blowback air pistols, the safety catch is located on the right side. Its a slide instead of a lever.
The grip contains black and tan parts. The black paneling can be removed to access the CO2 cartridge slot. Youll have to insert a cartridge first before shooting.
Each magazine contains 20 rounds and is a narrow stick design.
To add accessories such as flashlights and lasers, you can attach them to the bottom Picatinny/Weaver rail. Many aftermarket products fit readily.
Crosman recommends this air pistol as a plinking or training weapon. You can set up some cans in your backyard and practice your target shooting. When doing so, please employ appropriate safety procedures.
