The FN Minimi, known to the U.S. Armed Forces as the M249 SAW, is a versatile light machine gun or squad automatic weapon. This popular design has even been adapted for airsoft fans who love the beefy weapons aesthetics. This Polarstar F2 M249 Cylinder Conversion Kit is an aftermarket accessory for the A&K manufactured and FN Herstal-licensed airsoft weapon.

The kit is made of a rugged aluminum alloy for lightness and strength. Its also compatible with most M249 gearboxes out there. The compact design ensures that it fits into the machine gun without issue. You can make the M249 fire in both open- or closed-bolt modes, thanks to the open solenoid designs. Its up to you to choose your M249s operation mode.

The F2 FCU has an LCD, which allows you to tune the performance better than the original parts.

The M249 will consistently chamber BBs and have less risk of potential feeding problems with the spring-loaded nozzle. Furthermore, thanks to the design, it propels the BBs at uniform velocities.
The poppet valve standard on all F2s is also on this one. Its incredibly air-efficient and will work even at lower pressures. This feature also lets you fire the M249 at lower velocities for events that mandate it or by your choice.

The same nozzle will also work from 205-500FPS without requiring a change.

Compared to a standard cylinder, the F2 is more compact but can outperform it. You can consider it a monster aftermarket part for serious airsoft fans who want the best for their M249s.
