The AK74 was modernized for decades before being replaced by the AK12. This AEG is a replica of the former rifle, with wooden furniture replaced with polymer hardware. It has a dark orange metallic muzzle brake to signify its airsoft status.
The polymer handguard doesnt have rails, though you can replace them with compatible aftermarket furniture. The rear sight is right behind the top handguard piece and can be adjusted for range.
On the left side of the receiver is a scope mount rail unique to Soviet designs. It will accept Russian scopes or new mounts that provide a short Picatinny rail.
Instead of a fixed wooden stock, this AEG has a folding black polymer stock. This choice makes the rifle lighter and also more compact.
As with E&Ls other AK AEGs, this gun has a stamped steel receiver. Actual AKs were primarily made this way, and youll find this AEG isnt much lighter than the real gun.
