Anyone born after 1938 may recognize the famous Daisy 1938 Red Ryder air gun. It was the first air rifle many young boys in the past owned and were taught their marksmanship skills safely. Today, Daisy still manufactures this classic model that millions of Americans shot.
The Red Ryder is based on the Winchester lever-action repeating rifles, a design that dates back to the late 1800s. Lever-action guns were easy to shoot and didnt take long to learn.
Unlike real guns, this air rifle can hold 650 BBs in the reservoir.
The stock and forearm are solid wood, while the receiver is stamped metal. The cocking lever is plastic but can withstand years of shooting.
Keeping with the old design, the Daisy 1938 Red Ryder uses a spring piston and propels BBs up to 350 FPS. As such, its not meant to go beyond 15 yards.
These air rifles have brought joy and fun to generations of Americans. Be a part of their long-standing tradition by carrying on the American Daisy legacy.
